Behind F3 Studio

Valerie Fuchs

Building beautiful software for and with great people. Meet F3 Studio.

I'm Valerie, a Software Developer and non-awkwardness activist based in Amsterdam. After having spent close to a decade with shaping digital products, lastly for file-sharing service WeTransfer, I started F3 Studio in 2025.

I'm a technical generalist and strive to find pragmatic solutions with maximum effect on user experience. My eye for design enables me to bridge design & engineering disciplines and create a dialogue to collaboratively build beautiful features and products.

My main technical expertise sits in the React/NextJS ecosystem, topped with a keen interest in back-end technologies (NodeJS). I have extensive knowledge in building collaborative real-time interfaces (WebSockets), optimising asset-heavy pages (REST/GraphQL) and integrating headless CMS systems (Storyblok, Contentful).

As a strong communicator with a Marketing background, one of my biggest strengths is the ability to turn product ideas into technical requirements and to facilitate between technical and non-technical stakeholders while guaranteeing product quality and delivery.

I'm driven by the mission to shape a less awkward, and therefore more inclusive, world of tech. Since 2018 I run my project Cafe Robot, the first-non awkward Computer Club, which introduced 400 students to the world of coding with p5.js. I created Female Freelance Developers, which lists skilled programmers from all over the world, and Tech Imposters Anonymous, a platform for your secret confessions when sometimes not feeling good enough. Most recently I started collaborating with SOFTER to start their Dutch community chapter.
